You better have a small fan to cool them off. The speed is somewhat satisfying for file transfer with one HDD inserted.Ĭons: Poor plastic construction, HDD are hard to remove cause the doors get stuck on the HDD rough side and the HDD get really hot on top of that. Pros: Works well when only one HD is inserted. Some said other brand build on ASMedia ASM1153E chipset with clone function can do fast as 1TB per hour. SSD could run faster than HDD in term of speed read & write but I don't have SSD. It said support max to 8TB HDD per dock but never test. Only CON here is short cable on both power & USB but not quite big deal. However after get new HDD format to eXFAT there are no problems on Win&Mac. Not quite sure about problems maybe about my HDD format. My both HDD not appear on Windows (no letter drive show up) but they're visible on disk management. Both HDD run warm and this dock keep stop spin HDD after 2-3 mins of not using it.Ĭons: Confuse at first use. Run Crystalmark test get result of SEQRead~~180 MB/s & SEQWrite~~180MB/s (Some said mechanical HDD with SATA3 run fastest at 180MB/s) while copy between drive rate about 110-130 MB/s. My two Seagate Barracuda 3TB (ST3000DM001-7200rpm) work on it and show as two separate drives on Win&Mac OS.

Pros: This is nice quality build dual dock, sturdy, simple and quite compact (NO clone function button that I don't want it.) 3.5" & 2.5" fit perfectly tight inside dock.
